UNMC sponsors free week of Omaha.com content

The Omaha World-Herald has opened up free access to its digital content this week through a partnership with UNMC.

The unlimited access to Omaha.com, sponsored by UNMC, started Sunday and will run through Sunday, Dec. 26.

Ava Thomas, the World-Herald’s new president and publisher, announced the free access as a gift to readers during the holiday.

Thomas, who toured the campus in November, said in a column published Sunday that UNMC "has become the global model for strong, healthy communities, and has done critical work during the pandemic."

Along with that, Thomas wrote that "the last 21 months have brought into focus how important it is to be informed" and emphasized the importance of the information and perspectives available on Omaha.com.

"We are thrilled, along with UNMC, to extend this gift to everyone."
