Application open for iLEAD leadership development

The UNMC Office of Faculty Development’s popular iLEAD (Interprofessional Leadership for Excellence and Academic Development) certificate program is launching in fall 2022, and the program application period is open.

iLEAD is a one-year applied-learning experience. It is designed for faculty who are committed to accelerating their leadership skills and performance within and outside of UNMC. Each iLEAD cohort is selected from across all UNMC colleges and institutes, representing a broad array of specialties and backgrounds. The resulting interprofessional community offers participants the opportunity to connect with forward-thinkers and leaders across the organization, building a rich network.

iLEAD participants explore and practice the personal and professional assessment skills and attributes that will contribute to their success as a leader. All learning is targeted for immediate application within the professional roles of each participant.

Interested participants must complete an application for consideration; letters of endorsement are strongly encouraged. iLEAD is a live, experiential learning opportunity that will be held in person on the Omaha campus. To be considered for admission, applicants must be able to attend ALL of the required meeting dates, which includes two immersive, overnight retreats at Lied Lodge in Nebraska City.

Applications will be accepted through April 15. Participants will be notified of acceptance into the program in May. More information about iLEAD, including program details and objectives, can be found on the iLEAD website.
