The College of Medicine's Culture Conversation is a series of video interviews, material and other items designed to help leaders, faculty, staff and students of the college build their professional toolbox and strengthen the college's workplace and educational culture.
As we move into November, we transition into our value of Excellence, and we will be focusing on the concepts of "Blue Chips," "Validate & Verify," and "Know Why & Comply." Please use and review the attached documents as you prepare for the conversation:
- November Excellence Culture Conversation – These slides contain the concepts and questions you will use to conduct the monthly culture conversations. Note that we have both personal and work-related Blue Chips, and this discussion gives us a great opportunity to link the value of Excellence to all the work we have done with Teamwork in September and October.
- Leader Packet – use this packet as your guide in preparing for the conversation. As a reminder, the first page is intended to help you re-ground in the concepts for the discussion; the second page is intended to be used both in the discussion with the team and to set the stage for continued use of the concepts moving forward.
These resources will be placed on the Be Extraordinary Together portal on Nov. 1. I encourage you to use that portal if you need to access these resources or any supplemental resources needed in understanding the concepts for the month.
In addition, we provide tips and tools throughout the month on the Be Extraordinary Together Channel on the NOW. Please use this as an additional resource and space to celebrate all the great work in building an extraordinary culture.
