UNMC International Week, to be held Saturday, Nov. 13 to Nov. 19, will provide a variety of activities highlighting UNMC's international diversity on campus. All UNMC faculty, staff and students are welcome to attend this annual event.
Activities include:
- Nov. 13 – Diwali Night
- Nov. 15 – Intercultural awareness workshop
- Nov. 16 – Cultural linguistics: Does the world look different in other languages?
- Nov. 17 – Ping-pong tournament
- Nov. 18 – Culture expo and Office of Global Engagement open house
- Nov. 19 – International movie night
One of the new activities is cultural linguistics, which explores how the world looks in different languages. As part of the event, 15-minute sessions in four different languages will simultaneously run in four different discussion rooms in the Sorrell Center. The maximum capacity of each room is 15 participants.
