H: drives will become ‘read-only’ on Oct. 30

Changes go into effect on Saturday for personal share files at UNMC.

On Saturday, Oct. 30, personal file shares for UNMC (usually H: drives) will be set to read-only. (Note: In order to modify the files you will need to copy them up to Microsoft One Drive.)

Earlier this year, all UNMC colleagues were informed that personal file shares (H: drives) will no longer be accessible as of Nov. 30.

All documents stored on a personal file share must be transitioned to One Drive, the Microsoft cloud-based personal file storage solution. Accessing files via OneDrive can be done anywhere, anytime, and does not require the use of Global Protect. One Drive resources can be found below.
