UNMC’s Peter Mannon, MD, will be moderating a panel at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Agriculture & Health Summit, which runs from Oct. 11-13.
The inaugural conference is focused on “food for health” through the gut microbiome, and Dr. Mannon will be leading a panel on “Cautionary Tales: Diet-microbiome interactions contributing to disease.” The summit is a three-day virtual event bringing together researchers, industry leaders and thought leaders from the biomedical and agricultural sectors for conversations about the future of human health. Experts in diverse areas will discuss opportunities and challenges in mitigating disease risk via the gut microbiome and strategize about working toward solutions in nutrition and medicine.
