Phi Rho Golf Tournament set for Oct. 3
The Phi Rho Sixth Annual Charity Golf Tournament will be on Sunday, Oct. 3, at the Benson Championship Golf Course, 5333 N 72nd St. This tournament, which gets underway at 10 a.m.. will be a four-person 18-hole scramble format.
This event is put on by Phi Rho Sigma Medical Society and all proceeds will benefit the Meyer Foundation for Disabilities.
Lincoln RiteCare Clinic holding Trunk or Treat event Oct. 8
A drive-thru "Trunk or Treat for RiteCare" event is planned by the Scottish Rite Foundation and the RiteCare clinic on Oct. 8 from 6-7:30 p.m. It will be held at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center parking lot at 332 Centennial Mall South in Lincoln. The socially distanced event will feature costumes, games, candy and fun for former and current RiteCare and Scottish Rite families.
Drive Thru Trunk or Treat set for Oct. 24
The Munroe-Meyer Institute's 2021 Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat is held on Oct. 24 from 2-4 p.m. in the parking lot of the MMI building at 6902 Pine St.
The first drive-thru event, held in 2020, drew more than 400 visitors, and organizers are hoping for even bigger crowds at this year's socially distanced event.
"This event always is a lot of fun," said Jacqueline Hankins-Berry, one of the organizers. "The MMI departments and our community partners come out with inventive costumes and decorated trunks so that we can provide a safe, fun, memorable event for our MMI families."
