The Munroe-Meyer Institute’s Department of Physical Therapy had three team members receive board certification as clinical specialists in pediatric physical therapy over the summer.
Elizabeth Fortin, DPT, Brianne Walbrecht, DPT, and Tricia Saxton received the certification after passing board examinations.
With the certifications, the MMI Department of Physical Therapy now has 10 board certified clinical specialists in pediatric physical therapy, more than any other pediatric facility in the region.
All three therapists are valued members of the department, said Sandy Willett, PhD, director of physical therapy at MMI.
"Elizabeth completed her pediatric residency and LEND fellowship with MMI in 2020. She is constantly asking questions and pushing our entire team to learn and grow," Willett said. "Bri serves as an OPS team co-leader and as a Special Olympics fun fitness coordinator — she is practical, thoughtful and demonstrates the traits of a strong leader. Tricia was one of our primary members of the CRCC team and now serves JPLord school. She is a quiet, steady force that tirelessly advocates for children and families."
Congrats ladies! MMI has a fabulous team of PTs and you are continuing to show how it is done! Kudos are well deserved…
