Talk about your job and what you like best about it: I’m responsible for media production in the UNMC Department of Anesthesiology. This means things like writing, photography and videography through print materials, our website, social media, etc. The thing I like most about this role is that it allows me to be surrounded by outstanding humans who constantly innovate to surmount obstacles and redefine “best.”

List three things people may not know about you:

• I almost constantly have access to fluffy, purring kittens. My wife and I foster them in our home through the Nebraska Humane Society, and I also feed them in the kitten nursery at the shelter every Thursday night. NHS relies heavily on their 450-plus volunteers to help them get more than 20,000 critters into their forever homes each year. If you’ve been thinking about volunteering, I encourage you to reach out! I get more out of it than the kittens do.
• I have a dream to someday earn a private pilot’s license.
• I love a good DIY home improvement project.
