Student-run, free clinics serve the community

The UNMC SHARING clinics are a series of student-run free clinics that aim to serve the Omaha community.

The UNMC SHARING clinics are a series of student-run free clinics that aim to serve the Omaha community while also providing valuable educational opportunities for students affiliated with Nebraska Medicine. During the COVID-19 outbreak, the SHARING Clinics worked virtually using telemedicine to continue to serve patients in the community. Early this spring most of the SHARING clinics reopened to the public for in-person clinical services.

“The SHARING clinics are always searching for new patients and appreciate any physician, provider or community advocate who is willing to recommend our services to eligible patients,” said William Hay, MD, SHARING Clinic medical director. “With your help we can bring better, more accessible care to all of Omaha.”
