A crane will temporarily be on the corner of 44th Street and Dewey Avenue on the UNMC Omaha campus from 7 a.m. today through 5 p.m. Wednesday, resulting in a road closure on Dewey Avenue between 44th and 45th streets.
The emergency department at the Nebraska Medical Center, located at 4350 Dewey Avenue, will remain open and accessible from 44th Street during this time.
The crane will be lifting structural steel that will be used as part of the clinical lab expansion at Nebraska Medicine.
There will be signage at Emile Street and Saddle Creek Road to inform drivers going to the emergency department to go to 44th and Farnam streets, and the same signage at 45th Street and Dewey Avenue.
