To complement the research reporting, CHRI will showcase the works of Medicinal Musings, an outlet for health care professionals and scientists to express themselves through art. Works of original poetry, prose, photography, art and musical compositions will be collected and presented on the forum web site.

The forum will begin at 4:30 pm on May 13.

  • Gwenn Skar, MD, assistant professor of pediatrics at UNMC, speaking on “Developing Your Path in Research.”

The day will conclude with the announcement of trainee award winners.

May 14 events include pediatric grand rounds at 8 a.m., including UNMC’s Rachel Marlow, MD, speaking on “Clinical Characteristics Distinguishing Bronchiolitis Patients Requiring Mechanical Ventilation and My Experience Figuring it Out,” followed by the medical student award ceremony.
