The Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI) and the UNMC Tele-Behavioral Health Consultation Team’s four-part telebehavioral health consultation webinar series for primary care will conclude May 19.
The webinar series, which began in February, is intended to assist primary care providers in managing psychiatric and behavioral health concerns. Learning objectives for the series include:
- Discuss best practices for managing common behavioral health issues in children and adolescents, including adjustment concerns due to COVID-19, depression, sleep concerns and autism
- Describe behavioral strategies or resources (e.g., apps, books) that can be used in the primary care setting instead of, before, or in conjunction with medication
- List common medications for behavioral health issues in children and adolescents
- Discuss when to refer more complex cases outside of primary care to a higher level of care.
The UNMC Tele-Behavioral Health Consultation Team is supported by an award from Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (NEDHHS). The award is made possible by the Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) Pediatric Mental Health Care Access Program, Grant No. U4CMC32322, with NEDHHS as the lead state agency. The contents of the project are the responsibility of UNMC MMI and do not necessarily represent official views of, or endorsement by, HRSA or NEDHHS.
