Cancer survivorship focus of Olson Center event

Rachael Schmidt, DNP

Rachael Schmidt, DNP, will discuss cancer survivorship at the next Olson Center Brown Bag, on Feb. 16 from noon-1 p.m.

Cancer survivorship is more than surviving cancer; cancer and its treatment can result in long-lasting or late-onset effects. In her presentation titled “What is Cancer Survivorship?,” Dr. Schmidt will discuss how survivorship is focused on addressing the various problems cancer survivors may face after therapy ends, as well as ways to lower risk for recurrence and other cancers in the future.

Pre-register by emailing Lana Molczyk, calling the Olson Center at 402-559-6345, or on Engage. Viewing directions will be given to registrants prior to the brown bag presentation.

This lecture is free. To obtain nursing credit, the cost is $10. Payment instructions will be given at pre-registration. Nursing credit can only be obtained for watching the live stream of the virtual presentation, not for viewing the recording after the event.
