The UNMC Faculty Women’s Club will host a presentation by Charity Evans, MD, chief of the new UNMC Division of Acute Care Surgery, on “Dusk to Dawn (D2D): A Hospital Based Youth Violence Prevention Program” at noon on Wednesday.
D2D is a hospital-based violence prevention program at Nebraska Medicine that exposes youth to the physical and emotional consequences of violence as the catalyst for discussion about values, emotions, problem solving and risk and protective factors. The program works directly with youth, law enforcement and community partners with the common goal of reducing violence among the youth of Omaha by encouraging safe behaviors and environment.
Members of the UNMC community who wish to view the presentation can email the Faculty Women’s Club for a Zoom link.
Information about other club events can be found at the Faculty Women’s Club webpage.
