The 15th annual Midwest Thoracic and GI Oncology conference, covering trending issues in the management of gastrointestinal and thoracic malignancies, will be held virtually Dec. 11.
Featured GI topics range from surgical management of stage four GI cancers to the pathology/radiology of pancreatic cystic lesions to Lynch and other polyposis syndromes, as well as, presentations that address issues related to the management of chemotherapy side effects, nutrition and prehabilitation.
Thoracic presentations will focus on the use of targeted therapies and immunotherapy for non-small cell lung cancer and options for the multidisciplinary management of malignant mesothelioma, as well as, presentations relating to the challenges of caring for patients with cancer amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The conference is open to anyone, but is especially intended for medical, radiation, and surgical oncologists; nurse practitioners; physician assistants; nurses, fellows and residents caring for patients with thoracic and GI cancers.
Continuing education credit is available for those who attend.
There is no fee to attend the virtual conference however pre-registration is required. The registration deadline is Wednesday, Dec. 9.
