Looking for something to do this holiday season? Look no further. See what UNMC’s community partners have planned this year. As always, there will are several holiday events geared to the entire family.
At The Durham Museum, enjoy loads of entertainment and celebrate Christmas at Union Station. Visit Santa (socially distanced, of course), enjoy holiday music under the glow of The Durham’s Christmas tree and say “Goodbye to 2020” with free party sundaes.
At the Joslyn Art Museum, come for a day of shopping of unique items inspired by Joslyn’s building, history and varied art collections, alongside the work of jewelers, potters, glassmakers, printmakers, woodworkers and fiber/fabric artists on Sunday, Nov. 29, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Shoppers will receive a 10% discount on their purchases, a free gift with purchase, free gift wrap and the opportunity to enter special promotional drawings.
In addition to these events, be sure to check out the holiday happenings at the Omaha Community Playhouse, Rose Theater, Lauritzen Gardens and Fontenelle Forest.
The Durham Museum and Joslyn Art Museum provide free museum admission for UNMC employees, students and their immediate family with a valid identification badge.
