Dr. Liu to be featured in Facebook Live event Sept. 29
Howard Liu, MD, chair of the UNMC Department of Psychiatry, will join a Mental Health America (MHA) Facebook Live event on men’s mental health and suicide prevention, to be streamed at 11:45 a.m. CDT on Sept. 29.
The host will be Sachin Doshi of MHA, and Dr. Liu will be joined by fellow guests Omar Shareef, MD, vice president of Muslims Thrive, and Kojo Sarfo, DNP, a psychiatric nurse practitioner.

Nicole Rodriguez, PhD, director of the early intervention program in the integrated Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders (iCASD) at the Munroe-Meyer Institute has been named an associate editor at the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis. Her new role will begin in September.
Dr. Rodriguez also is director of the PhD program in Applied Behavior Analysis at UNMC.
Dr. Rodriguez’s research interests are largely guided by her clinical work in early intervention and autism spectrum disorders. Much of her research is applied in that it has a direct clinical impact on the children and families who serve as participants. She is also interested in translational research that allows for a better understanding of the processes that underlie the efficacy of procedures.
