UNMC faculty, staff and students are being asked to follow the university’s public health and safety measures to protect themselves and the entire community.
Video: Leaders sign attestation documents
Each of UNMC’s 4,000-plus students will be asked to sign the UNMC Student COVID Commitment, acknowledging that they understand their responsibility in the fight against COVID-19 and will follow UNMC guidelines and expectations. UNMC’s more than 5,000 employees also will be asked to sign a similar attestation.
On Wednesday, university leaders showed their support of UNMC’s public health measures by signing their respective attestations.
To help reduce the spread of COVID-19, students, faculty and staff, in part, are expected to:
- wear a face covering;
- wash hands frequently;
- be mindful of physical distancing;
- avoid large in-person gatherings wherever possible;
- use a self-screening tool; and
- apply such preventive practices to situations outside the educational environment.
Students, faculty and staff are asked to access and acknowledge receipt of their respective statements in Canvas.
