Each of UNMC’s 4,000-plus students will be asked to sign the UNMC Student COVID Commitment, acknowledging that they understand their responsibility in the fight against COVID-19 and will follow UNMC guidelines and expectations. UNMC’s more than 5,000 employees also will be asked to sign a similar attestation.

On Wednesday, university leaders showed their support of UNMC’s public health measures by signing their respective attestations.

To help reduce the spread of COVID-19, students, faculty and staff, in part, are expected to:

  • wear a face covering;
  • wash hands frequently;
  • be mindful of physical distancing;
  • avoid large in-person gatherings wherever possible;
  • use a self-screening tool; and
  • apply such preventive practices to situations outside the educational environment.

Students, faculty and staff are asked to access and acknowledge receipt of their respective statements in Canvas.
