UNMC’s Stiles recognized by Association of Public Health Laboratories

Karen Stiles has been selected as one of two recipients for the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL) 2020 Thomas E Maxson Education, Training and Workforce Development Award. The award is presented in recognition of outstanding contributions to public health laboratory continuing education and workforce development. It also recognizes continued commitment in support of advancement in public health laboratory science and practice, promoting the discipline and for service to the association.

Stiles, a training coordinator for the Nebraska Public Health Laboratory, will receive a commemorative plaque and be honored during the virtual APHL 2020 Awards and Recognition ceremony and the Public Health Laboratory Training Conference, held every other year.
