Events and cancellations

The Nebraska Science Festival has been canceled.

NOTE: This list is compiled well in advance of these events. Times and locations are subject to change; due to the COVID-19 pandemic, events are subject to cancellation. Please check the UNMC calendar to insure you have the correct time and location and the UNMC Coronavirus Resources page to check for cancellations, postponements or switches to virtual events.

  • April 14 – Annual Faculty Meeting (will be held virtually)
  • April 17 – Board of Regents meeting
  • April 20 – Chancellor’s Forum, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. (will be held virtually)
  • May 9 – Omaha commencement ceremony (will be held virtually)
  • May 31 – Faculty Women’s Club 100 year anniversary event
  • June 26- Board of Regents meeting

Cancellations

  • The Nebraska Science Festival, set for April 3-26, is canceled.
  • The John S. Latta Lecture, originally set for April 7, has been postponed and will be rescheduled.
  • The Munroe-Meyer Institute Student Poster Session, originally scheduled for April 10, has been canceled.
  • The Davis History of Medicine Lecture, originally set for April 14, will be rescheduled.
  • The Investiture Ceremony for NU President Ted Carter, originally set for April 17, has been postponed.
  • The Harman Lecture, originally scheduled for April 17, has been canceled.
  • The April 21 dedication ceremony for the Dr. Edwin G. & Dorothy Balbach Davis Global Center, and other celebratory events occurring that week (April 20-24) will be postponed.
  • Administrative Professionals Day, originally set for April 22, has been canceled.
  • The Munroe-Meyer Institute Education Celebration, originally scheduled for April 24, has been canceled.
  • The UNMC Alumni Association’s event, Showdown in O-Town, originally scheduled for April 28, has been canceled. All registrants will be refunded.
