Photo ID office to reduce hours

In the interest of protecting the health and safety of the med center staff and the rest of the campus community, the photo ID office will have reduced hours for badging — 8 a.m.-noon Monday through Friday — beginning today.

The office, located in the Center for Healthy Living, will be reducing its operation to only one badging station. Only one person will be allowed in the office area at a time — all others waiting for badges will stay out in the main hallway.

Badge access

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, certain areas at the medical center will only be accessible to employees with their badges. Employees without badges may be denied admittance into certain areas.

ID office staff will be using gloves for handling cards, frequently sanitizing countertops and door handles, and maintaining as much social distance as possible in the office.

The priority will be badging:

  • New employees
  • Renewing expired contractor badges
  • Lost badges
  • Damaged/malfunctioning badges

Unless it is absolutely necessary for a job or program, the campus community is asked not to come to the photo ID office for:

  • Student badges
  • Name changes
  • Job title changes
  • Photo retakes
  • Updating credentials
  • Questions about card access

Email is the preferred method of communication for the office. For urgent issues, call 402-559-8414 (photo ID is option 7, card access is option 2).
