A change is coming to how patients and visitors will be able to log onto the med center’s guest Wi-Fi network.
The change will go into effect starting at 7:30 p.m. today. There will be no downtime to the network during this change.
Here are the key things users need to know:
- Patients and guests who want to use our guest Wi-Fi will now need to create an account or log into Facebook in order join the guest network.
- All registered users have one day access before the account expires, so they will have to register each day.
- No Facebook profile information is stored.
- Here are instructions on how to create an account and log on to the guest Wi-Fi.
- This will include the guest Wi-Fi network offered at all Nebraska Medicine and UNMC locations.
- The purpose of this change is to modernize the guest wireless and provide a way for guests to identify themselves.
