The eighth annual Chinese Cultural Fair will be held on Friday, Jan. 31, from 3-4:30 p.m. in the Durham Research Center Commons.
UNMC faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend.
There will be food and tea tasting, performances (starting at 3:40 p.m.) and several interactive tables, where attendees can learn how to play wuzi (a Chinese game), make liusu (Chinese tassels), and test their knowledge of Chinese history and culture. Guests also can have their names written in Chinese characters.
There are giveaways for the first 200 attendees.
Food will be provided by Blue and Fly, China Buffet and Asian Market.
The Chinese Cultural Fair is coordinated by the Asia Pacific Rim Development Program and UNMC’s China Scholarship Council students. It is co-sponsored by the Asia Pacific Rim Development Program, HR-Employee Relations, Organizational Development & Diversity, and the UNMC Chinese Students and Scholars Association.
Please join in celebrating the Chinese New Year, the Year of the Rat.
