MMI’s Rivard honored at Prader-Willi Syndrome Association national conference
Paige Rivard, a staff member of the University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities staff, received the Prader-Willi Syndrome National Award for Advocacy at the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association national conference in Orlando, Florida, this fall.
The association said that Rivard “has played a vital role in the increased communications and positive language of those communications coming from the national office. She is passionate about ensuring that educational communication is flowing freely from national to the PWS community and providing hope in a realistic and honest manner.”
Rivard also is a member of the MMI Board of Directors.
Yanneys among Presidential Medal of Service honorees
Earlier this month, University of Nebraska Interim President Susan Fritz, Ph.D., announced the 2019 recipients of the Presidential Medal of Service, an annual honor that celebrates Nebraskans’ support and advocacy for the NU system. This year’s recipients include Michael Yanney and Gail Walling Yanney, M.D., of Omaha, longtime supporters of UNMC and the Munroe-Meyer Institute. Read more about the honor.
