Take the sustainability engagement survey

One of the most important ways for the medical center to achieve its sustainability goals is through engagement in sustainable practices. Every other year, the med center conducts an employee survey to measure awareness of and participation in sustainability efforts. This allows the tracking of improvement and progress over time.

Please take the survey by Monday, Dec. 23.

The anonymous survey will take about 10 minutes to complete. At the end of this survey, respondents can choose to fill out a separate form for a chance to win one of eight $25 Visa gift cards or one of 20 sets of reusable silverware.

Members of the medical center community play vital roles in transforming lives to create a healthy future for all individuals and communities. This is affirmed in the med center’s mission, and through its Sustainability Master Plan. The Sustainability Master Plan outlines the organization’s long-term goals for emissions, water, campus density, materials, transportation and campus engagement.

Over the years, the medical center has improved its environmental footprint and impact through waste reduction programs, reduced energy use, solar panel installation, and the TravelSmart program, just to name a few of the many efforts implemented.

Please encourage colleagues and students to complete the survey, so the sustainability office can truly gauge its efforts with a representative sample.

Responding to the survey will help ensure that UNMC and Nebraska Medicine continue to be a leader in sustainability.

We know your time is valuable, and we thank you in advance for taking this survey.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns regarding the survey, please email LiveGreen@unmc.edu. Information about sustainability efforts on campus can be found at the LiveGreen website. TravelSmart questions can be answered at the TravelSmart website or by emailingTravelSmart@unmc.edu.
