The International Student Association (ISA) will host International Week Dec. 2-6, offering a variety of activities. Participants can learn about the cuisine of diverse cultures on campus at the International Food Expo, display their ethnic heritage by wearing traditional attire or cheer on their favorite athlete at the ping-pong and badminton tournaments.
The lineup for the week includes:
Dec. 2: Traditional attire contest. Post a photo of yourself in traditional attire on the ISA Facebook page or email it here or here for consideration in the contest.
Dec. 3: Ping-pong tournament, 4-6 p.m. in the Center for Healthy Living Gymnasium. For registration information, click here or sign up at the CFHL gym front desk.
Dec. 4: Badminton tournament, 4-6 p.m. in the Center for Healthy Living Gymnasium. For registration information, click here or sign up at the CFHL gym front desk.
Dec. 5: International Food Expo, 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the Durham Research Center Commons. The International Food Expo will have a variety of cuisines to choose from different parts of the world. If interested in bringing something from your culture, please sign up here.
Dec. 6: Global Recognition Day. Participants are invited to represent the cultural and geographical diversity at UNMC by tagging a pin on the region they belong to on a world map. Maps will be displayed in the Durham Research Center Commons and in the Sorrell Center Commons.
