Interested faculty, staff and students are invited to attend the free Vital Signs of Advocacy: Health Policy Conference on Saturday, Oct. 12.
Hosted by two student groups — Primary Care Progress and UNMC Student Delegates — the free event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the UNMC campus (location to be announced one week prior to the event).
Attendees will learn from government leaders and hospital officials about:
- Medicaid expansion;
- Ballot initiatives;
- Current legislative issues;
- Mechanisms of government; and
- How to be a health care advocate.
