The UNMC Department of Emergency Medicine will hold a retirement tea Tuesday for Randy Leister, office associate for the department.
Leister has been with UNMC since 2000, when he joined the emergency department.
“Randy has dedicated nearly the last 20 years of his professional life supporting the UNMC Department of Emergency Medicine through periods of significant growth in the faculty, academic programs, research and clinical volume,” said Laura Robinson, the department administrator. “He has been a jack-of-all-trades and stepped up to do whatever is asked of him. With the department always in mind, he has regularly volunteered his assistance to colleagues for projects and events. We wish him the very best in his retirement and hope that he enjoys this next chapter in his life, allowing him to spend well-deserved time with his wife and family, especially his grandchildren.”
The campus is invited to the event, which will be held from 2-4 p.m. in the Linder Reading Room on the second floor of the Sorrell Center.
Refreshments will be provided.
