As you may have heard, Metro announced changes to several bus routes, which went into effect last week.
These changes will help to provide additional services on routes that are busy, increase frequency where needed, and will eliminate the last bus on a few routes that were rarely being utilized.
- Route 24 service will be increased to run every 15 minutes on 24th Street between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on weekdays. If you live near this route and couldn’t make a connection work to make it to the Med Center, that may have changed.
- Routes 35 & 36 will be restructured to provide a new north/south connection in the Midtown area along Park Avenue. In addition to helping travelers move north to south more efficiently, it should be easier to intersect with routes feeding the Med Center.
- All routes with late-night service will be reduced by about one hour on weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Please see this chart for changes:
