Cattlemen’s Ball tickets on sale through May 15

Country music superstar, Clay Walker, will perform on June 8.

Tickets for the 2019 Cattlemen’s Ball of Nebraska on June 7-8 near Wauneta, Neb., are on sale now and must be purchased by May 15. Wauneta is located in the southwest corner of Nebraska. It is about 45 miles northwest of McCook and 100 miles southwest of North Platte.

Tickets will not be available after May 15 and will not be available at the gate. Tickets can be purchased at www.cattlemensball.com, or you can mail a check to PO Box 9, Wauneta, NE 69045.

The $400 Trail Boss tickets include both Friday and Saturday events, while the $100 Top Hand tickets are only for Saturday afternoon/evening.

The Cattlemen’s Ball of Nebraska, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. From the proceeds raised, 90% will go toward cancer research at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center located on the UNMC/Nebraska Medicine campus. The remaining 10% will stay in Southwest Nebraska and help meet the needs of the area.

Attendees at this year’s ball will be able to enjoy Nebraska beef, visit the Health and Wellness Tent, take in Nebraska wine tastings, participate in a Fun Run or a golf outing, watch the skills of cowboys at the Ranch Rodeo, witness works of Nebraska artists, shop at the General Store, enjoy three concerts, and place bids in silent and live auctions.

The headline concert on June 8 will feature country music superstar, Clay Walker, who has had six No. 1 hits. Walker’s concert will run from 8:30 to 10 p.m.

This year’s ball will be held on land along the Frenchman Creek near the Enders Reservoir. The two host couples will be Derek and Allison Sandman and Wayne and Chris Krausnick.

Other key volunteers and their hometowns include: Steve and Char Wallin, Imperial; Ryan and Stephanie Stromberger, Imperial; Shawn, Julie, and Grant Jones, Benkelman; Nick and Kati Ladenburger, Stratton; Mick and Marlene Cox, Hayes Center; and Joey and Myra Large, Wauneta.
