UNMC Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D., will appear on Monday’s live broadcast of RFD-TV’s “Rural America Live” to discuss how to build a pipeline of health care professionals to rural America.
Dr. Gold will be joined by Ted Epperly, M.D., president and CEO of the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho, which provides residency training and fellowships. Together, they will discuss the health care worker shortage in rural areas and how communities themselves might be able to address the issue.
Drs. Gold and Epperly will speak remotely from Omaha for the hourlong, Nashville-based broadcast, which begins at 7 p.m. (CDT). The broadcast will welcome callers’ questions at 877-731-6733.
