The Nebraska Medical Orchestra will perform its spring concert on May 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the Truhlsen Events Center inside the Sorrell Center. The program will include works by Schubert, Berlioz, Faure and Bach, in addition to some lighter pops music. The concert is free and valet parking will be available.
The orchestra, under the direction of Matthew Brooks, was created in 2018 as a collaborative project between UNMC and the UNO School of Music. It is comprised of students, faculty, and staff from UNMC and Nebraska Medicine with the support of UNO School of Music faculty and students as mentors.
