A retirement reception will be held today for Brian Lange, Ph.D., from 1:30-3 p.m. at the Dixon Lecture Hall, Room 1145, at the College of Dentistry building in Lincoln.
Dr. Lange, who has been at UNMC for more than 44 years, is a member of the UNMC Department of Oral Biology.
He was the course director for special patient care, human behavior, problems in patient management and extramural programs. His research interests included the process of dental education, practice management and psychological types.
“Brian is a throw-back triple threat faculty member with significant contributions to the teaching, service and scholarship missions of the College of Dentistry over the 44 years of his tenure as a full-time faculty member,” said David Shaw, Ph.D., chair of the department and interim associate dean for research at the College of Dentistry. “As a psychologist, his open door policy to all will be greatly missed, especially by his chair, who valued his friendship and counsel.”
Members of the university community are invited to attend the event.
Dr. Lange, Think about it, now you never need to request another vacation day again…. All the best for an amazing retirement!
