Tickets available for Nebraska Medicine Guild lunch on April 24
The Nebraska Medicine Guild will hold its annual luncheon fundraiser on April 24 at the Omaha Design Center, 1502 Cuming St. Doors open at 11 a.m. with the luncheon beginning at 11:30 a.m.

This year’s event — “Fusion: A Blend of Fun and Philanthropy” — will be highlighted by a presentation by author Elin Hilderbrand. Called “the queen of the summer novel,” Hilderbrand has been writing novels for nearly two decades and has been on the bestseller list for the New York Times.

Hilderbrand was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014 and underwent a double mastectomy. Instead of fighting the disease in private, she has taken on the role of breast cancer activist and shared her story of recovery.

Funds raised from the event will support scholarships for the next generation of health care providers from UNMC and Clarkson College, in addition to other good works impacting the patient experience at Nebraska Medicine.

Tickets cost $75 and can be purchased by calling volunteer services at Nebraska Medicine – Nebraska Medical Center at 402-559-4150 or going online.
