Color workshop open to UNMC staff

Mary Zicafoose

Join Nebraska artist Mary Zicafoose for a color workshop to explore composition and color, as a healing arts opportunity for creativity and inspiration.

If you love color, this is your workshop.

Inspired by the work of the legendary colorist Josef Albers, students will create a personal color journal experimenting with 320 beautiful Color-Aid silkscreen papers. This is the first time Zicafoose is offering this workshop in Omaha. It is designed for all levels of creative experience.

For three decades, Zicafoose has been creating woven tapestries that are as visually compelling as they are narrative. Her woven pieces create a dialogue between color, patterns and shapes. Her artwork is hallmarked by her superb craftsmanship and her ability to speak articulately through the use of color. She is the artist of “The Healing Tapestry” and “The Hope Tapestry,” located in the lobby of the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center. For more information on Zicafoose, click here.
