The Meyer Foundation for Disabilities annual Walk and Roll for Disabilities event will be held Sunday, March 3, at Oak View Mall.
Registration begins at 9 a.m., with the Walk and Roll starting at 10:30 a.m. At 11:15 a.m., prizes will be awarded, including for the largest team and the top fundraisers.
Some of the highlights of the event will be:
- PartyPicsToGo will be there to take your picture – have a cup of coffee from Scooters and a bagel or fruit from Family Fare while you are waiting!
- The 501st Legion Central Garrison (aka Star Wars) – see if The Force is with you!
- Come and see Dearheart the Clown and her friends and get your face painted!
- You can cheer with the Millard North and Omaha Burke Sparkle Cheerleaders and march along with the Omaha Burke Drum Group.
- Visit at a table with non-profits in the community who provide services and activities for individuals with disabilities.

The event is put on by the Meyer Foundation for Disabilities (MFD), which raises funds to support the Thursday night recreational program for adults with developmental disabilities at the Munroe-Meyer Institute at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. The MMI programs include the Cooking Club and the Wheel Club.
Participants will make a direct impact on enhancing these programs for MMI’s adults.
