The UNMC benefits office is available to help during the transition to our new health insurance provider.
The University of Nebraska’s switch to new health coverage — UMR for health insurance, pharmacy coverage by CVS Health and dental insurance provided by Ameritas — is now in effect.
“Members of the department of human resources benefits team are ready to help members of the UNMC community, either by answering questions about the new coverage or providing help if a coverage issue arises,” said Aileen Warren, assistant vice chancellor for human resources.
The office has an established email box for any benefits issues. For any questions, employees can contact a benefits specialist via email at unmcbenefits@unmc.edu, or call the general benefits phone number at 402-559-4340.
If employees have not yet received their ID cards or need additional cards, the phone number for the two companies are as follows:
