Today is Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving when individuals have the power to give back to organizations and communities that are meaningful to them.
#GivingTuesday was founded in 2012 with a goal of inspiring people to support the causes they believe in.
Please consider using Giving Tuesday as a day to pause and to support the area of the University of Nebraska and its affiliates that means the most to you. Please consider joining us in advancing our university this holiday season while inspiring others to do the same.
Here are starting points that may help you locate a rewarding giving option:
- UNMC – various UNMC Innovation Funds provide great opportunities.
- University of Nebraska at Omaha – various UNO Funds exist to make giving easy. Another option is to support the Maverick Food Pantry, which helps students who need extra assistance.
- Nebraska Medicine – rewarding opportunities to support the state’s No. 1 health care network are found here.
- University of Nebraska-Lincoln – various N Funds help make giving easy. Another option is to help the Huskers Helping Huskers Pantry, which helps students who need extra assistance.
- University of Nebraska at Kearney – various UNK Funds also make giving easy.
Have you made your gift? Please consider using #GivingTuesday to share with family and friends why philanthropy is important to you.
“Together, we are changing the lives of students, we’re continuing to expand our research, and we’re continuing to recruit and retain the most talented faculty and staff,” said Hank Bounds, Ph.D., president of the University of Nebraska. “We’re building facilities where the very best in teaching, learning and patient care can take place. Because of you, the University of Nebraska is strong and growing.”
