Dr. Ash named to advisory board for health care technology firm

Michael Ash, M.D., vice chancellor for information & technology for UNMC and executive vice president and chief transformation officer for Nebraska Medicine, is one of seven health care leaders to be named to the newly formed advisory board for CitiusTech, a leading provider of health care technology solutions and services.

The advisory board will work in collaboration with CitiusTech’s executive management team, offering strategic guidance to help drive innovation across key markets, including health care provider, payers, medical technology companies and services companies, and life science organizations.

With more than 20 years of experience in health information technology, Dr. Ash has led the development of IT infrastructure and implementation of electronic health records (EHRs) in academic medical centers and health systems across the globe. He previously served as chief medical officer for Cerner and has been granted a dozen technology patents ranging from health forecasting to management of complex order sets.
