New IT leadership structure announced

UNMC/Nebraska Medicine Information Technology (IT) has announced a new organizational structure that includes a research and education lead.

W. Scott Campbell, Ph.D., has been appointed senior director for research technologies as a bridge between the research community and IT. He specializes in controlled medical terminologies and integration of clinical information systems, works regularly with clinical, basic science, and public health investigators, and understands the importance of both sharing data for research collaborations as well as protecting data.

Dan Moser, Ph.D., will continue to be the director of academic technologies, and work with key stakeholders to create a vision and prioritized information technology implementation plan to advance UNMC’s academic missions.

The two will work alongside Brian Lancaster, vice president of IT, and Lisa Bazis, chief information security officer – all of whom report to Michael Ash, vice chancellor for IT.
