How I fell in love with clinical research:
Through my year as a resident, I developed the appreciation for medical literature and learning why certain recommendations were being made in the primary care setting. During my training, I experienced different situations where I could not find answers for different medical questions, and thus began my own investigations and review of clinical outcomes to better improve patient care. I look forward to expanding the knowledge of our professional community in the primary care setting.
Teaching activities:
- Primary care-focused precepting of pharmacy and medical students and residents in the experiential practice experiences in clinic. Didactic teaching includes pharmaceutical care and case-based laboratory instructions.
Education:
- Pharmacy prerequisites, Morningside College and University of Nebraska at Omaha
- Pharm.D., UNMC
- Residency, pharmacy practice, Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, Chicago
Three things you don’t know about me:
- I played a semester of college football at Morningside College.
- I continue to play weekly athletic leagues including flag football, sand volleyball and slow-pitch softball.
- I enjoy networking and meeting new people both inside and outside of my field of pharmacy.
Welcome back Logan! I thought your name looked familiar!
