Oct. 3 – Board of Regents meeting in Kearney
Oct. 6 – UNMC vs. Wisconsin in football and the two schools will be collaborating on a breast cancer trial – social media opportunity – both schools are members of the Big10 Cancer Research Consortium
Oct. 12 – Omaha Women’s Health & Wellness Conference, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., La Vista Conference Center
Oct. 15 – Nominations close for UNMC Academic Affairs Impact in Education Awards, seven different awards (awards ceremony will be held in January, exact date TBD)

Oct. 22-26 – Invent-a-thon at UNO, high school students solve medical ‘problem’ (organized by UNMC’s 3D Makers Club)

Nov. 2 – Midlands Business Journal’s annual 40 Under 40 awards recognition event – Kacie Baum, public relations, is one of the 40 young professionals being honored at the event.
