The next of four finalists for the position of dean of the UNMC College of Pharmacy, Mark Shaefer, Pharm.D., will present at a campus forum Monday, Oct. 1, from noon-12:50 p.m. in the Sorrell Center, Room 1005. The campus is invited to hear from Dr. Shaefer and, time permitting, take part in a question-and-answer session.

Dr. Shaefer currently is global medical lead at ViiV Healthcare for cabotegravir, an investigational new drug under development for the treatment of HIV infection, and mature pharmaceutical products, those products in which the money they earn is put back into research and development for new product ideas to replace the maturing products. He was on the UNMC faculty in the mid-1980s mid-80s through early ’90s.
