How I fell in love with infectious diseases:
I was attracted to infectious disease because of its dynamic nature. Pathogens are constantly evolving, and new ones are emerging. To diagnose and treat many infections requires investigating how patients interact with their world. Having a public health perspective is an important and exciting part of practicing in this field.
