Name: Andrew Phillips
Hometown: Whitefish Bay, Wis.
Program/Year: MD-PhD program, second-year graduate student in the in the lab of Justin Mott, M.D., Ph.D.
Education: B.S. in chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater
Hobbies: I enjoy playing tennis and badminton and taking bike rides through Omaha! I love being outside.
Staying Balanced: I've been in Omaha for three years now and have really enjoyed exploring the city. It has so much to offer! Some of my favorite places are the Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge, Lake Zorinsky, and the Old Market. I've also participated in several intramural sports at UNMC, including curling, bocce and broomball.
Three things people may not know about me:
1. Since watching study videos from Sketchy and Pathoma at 1.5x speed, I now struggle to watch videos at anything slower than that.
2. I love spicy foods!
3. I've just started coaching tennis and bocce, which is a lot of fun!
Great to see you on the Spotlight, Andrew!
