Dalia ElGamal, Ph.D., is a new faculty member at UNMC.

Research/professional interests:

  • B-cell malignancies such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia and Richter’s transformation;
  • Understanding chronic lymphocytic leukemia disease biology (malignant transformation and tumor microenvironment interactions); and
  • Evaluating novel targeted anti-cancer therapies.

How I became interested or fell in love with research:
My continued fascination with biological processes and specifically how the cancer cell hijacks normal cells to promote tumor growth.
