Wendy DeBoer, a candidate running for the state legislature in District 10, recently toured the medical center.
DeBoer visited the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, the Nebraska Biocontainment Unit and the iEXCEL Visualization Hub.
“Education is my No. 1 priority, and the University of Nebraska is of course an important part of that,” she said.
DeBoer noted that she sees the university not only as crucial to education, but as an economic driver for the state.
District 10 includes north-central Douglas County, including Bennington and parts of northwest Omaha.
