Kai Fu, M.D., Ph.D., was one of five speakers featured at the U.S.-China Investor Forum on May 4 at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha. The forum was hosted by Yahoo Finance, with co-hosts China General Chamber of Commerce-U.S.A. and the Asian Cultural Center U.S.A.
The invitation-only forum was held in conjunction with Berkshire Hathaway’s annual meeting. Speakers discussed trade relations and investment opportunities between the United States and China.
Dr. Fu, professor in the UNMC Department of Pathology and Microbiology and director of the UNMC Office of International Relations & Patient Referrals, was interviewed on stage in front of an audience of about 100 potential Chinese investors. He spoke about the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center’s partnerships with China.
Other speakers included Nebraska Rep. Don Bacon.
