Two years, and I have been at UNMC for almost two years now.
What do you like the most about your training program:
The people I get to work with and learn from.
The interesting patients that we have the opportunity to help take care of.
What challenges do you foresee in graduate medical education in the future:
Having enough time to teach residents all the interesting things (such as nephrology and procedures).
List some accomplishments that you are proud of:
Convincing Anne Wildermuth (assistant professor in the College of Allied Health Professionals) to move to Omaha and tolerate the hours that I work.
Being named Residents’ Fellow of the Year by the internal medicine residents.
Tell us three things about you that others may not know:
- I have other jackets besides my orange Clemson jacket.
- I am one of three former residents from my small residency program in Arizona to come to UNMC to complete a nephrology fellowship (Andrew Sacks and Joon Kim being the others).
- My last job prior to medical school was in a deli in New Jersey – we made delicious subs.
